At the shop we love to play our Latin music loud and proud (you might hear us singing along too): to keep our customers and barristas in high spirits throughout the day and also to honor the strong Central American influence that has greatly inspired our cafe. Our co-owner Anya is a native of Nicaragua and we are the most well known purveyors of the popular Horchata Con Espresso.
This is a recent favorite Latin tune that has been on repeat for the past week by El Guincho, AKA Pablo Díaz-Reixa, off his new album Pop Negro. He has been described as the Spanish Panda Bear, providing deliciously layered and rich pop melodies. Here is the video for the first single, Bombay, (maybe NSFW).
